Abounding in Love

“Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way to you, and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.” 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 ESV
Prayer
Lord, thank you for the incredible love you have shown us. We are grateful that you do not leave us to navigate life on our own, but that you guide our steps and draw us closer to yourself. Help us to follow you faithfully and trust you with the path before us, knowing that you are working all things together for our good and your glory.
Grow within us the kind of love that reflects your heart. Let our love for one another continue to increase and abound, extending beyond our families and closest friends to all those you place in our lives. Help us to see people through your eyes, to show grace freely, and to be a reflection of your kindness and compassion in a world that desperately needs you.
Yes Lord, let it be so! Fill our hearts with your love so that it overflows into the lives of those around us. Establish us in holiness and strengthen us to walk faithfully with you each day. When we are tempted to compromise, remind us that you have called us to something greater. Continue your work within us, shaping us to be more like Christ.
May our lives reflect your goodness and bring glory to your name as we eagerly await your return. Keep our hearts steadfast and our eyes fixed on you. May we be found faithful, walking closely with you and living each day with purpose, hope, and expectation. In Jesus' name, amen.
