Our Strength and Shield
Scripture
Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.” Psalm 28:6-7 ESV
Prayer
Father, we give thanks to you today for your great mercy. You are so good. Thank you for hearing our prayers and for caring about every detail of our lives. We can trust you with all of our needs, great and small. You are our protector, our strength, and our shield.
Lord, our help may not always come in the way we expect or at the time we desire, but you always know what is best, and your timing is perfect. You are a strong and mighty God; there is none like you. Thank you for walking with us through every challenge and for never forsaking us in our weakness.
Encourage our hearts today and remind us of the purpose you have given us. Open our eyes to the needs around us and give us the wisdom and discernment to respond. Steady us in times of uncertainty and help us to rest in the confidence that you are with us, working on our behalf. May our hearts overflow with gratitude for all you have done and all you continue to do. In Jesus' name, amen.

Where am I struggling to trust God's timing instead of my own, and what would it look like to surrender that to Him today?
How can I be more attentive to the needs of those around me and allow God to use me to encourage or serve someone today?
