Don’t Quit
Scripture
“Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder.” Romans 12:11–12 (The Message)
Prayer
Father, we come to You this morning, honestly admitting how often we grow weary—how easily this world can drain us.
But we know that You are the One who fills us back up, and we ask that You would do that again today. Renew our strength. Reignite our passion for serving You. Guard our hearts from becoming easily offended by people or by the circumstances we face.
Instead, give us grace, patience, and steady hearts. Fill us with that cheerful expectation Your Word speaks of—a hope that looks ahead with confidence in You. Help us to fix our minds on what is pure, lovely, and admirable, instead of what discourages and weighs us down.
Fill us with Your hope, Lord, and let that hope overflow into every part of our lives.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Questions for Reflection
Have I been trying to push through in my own strength instead of being refilled by God?
How can I intentionally create space today to be filled back up?
