God is for Me
Scripture
“Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me; all day long an attacker oppresses me; my enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly. When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?” - Psalm 56:1-4 (ESV)
Prayer
Lord, You are gracious. No matter what is going on in our world, you are always constant. No matter who opposes us, it doesn’t catch you off guard. When fear creeps into my heart, help me to give it to you. Quiet the voices of fear and remind me that you are for me.
In return Lord, pour out your peace and steadfast love — I trust you. Keep my eyes focused on you and not the waves that crash around me. Remind me that you see every tear and that nothing I face is hidden from you.
Strengthen me to stand firm in faith and walk in confidence, knowing my life is held securely in your hands. You are good, Lord, even when things may not seem to be good. Thank you, Lord. In Jesus’ name - Amen.
