I’m Curious Friends…

Departing from the usual posts because I’m curious. Do you have a song that has been a constant thread throughout your life? One you come back to again and again—for encouragement, or even as a reminder of God’s faithfulness?

I do.

For me, it’s a 90’s oldie but a goodie: “I Will Listen” by Twila Paris.

When I was a fairly new Christian in my mid-twenties—trying to figure out my future and make better decisions—this song became an anthem for me. I had made so many poor choices in the past, and more than anything, I just wanted to follow Jesus and His plan for my life.

At the time, I think I believed I would learn those lessons once and be done with them. But now I know (as most of us do) that these themes don’t just disappear—they become threads that run through our lives. The lessons may look different in each season, but the heart remains the same: waiting on God, trusting Him, and believing that His plans are better than anything we could create on our own. And as God takes us through the lessons each time it seems our faith deepens a little more.
