God is Faithful

“Therefore, let anyone who thinks that he stands take heed lest he fall. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” I Corinthians 10:12-13

Prayer

Father, thank You that You know our weaknesses and yet You never leave us to face them alone. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that no temptation we face is beyond Your ability to help us overcome. Keep us humble and aware of our need for You, especially when we feel strong or think we have everything under control.

Lord, when temptation comes, help us recognize it for what it is and be willing to choose the way of escape You provide. Give us wisdom to see the choices before us and courage to walk away from what pulls us away from You. Help us not to rely on our own strength, but to turn to You quickly and trust Your Spirit to give us what we need.

And when we stumble, remind us that Your grace is still there and it is enough. Keep us from believing the lie that failure means we have to stay down and stuck. That’s exactly what the enemy of our souls wants us to believe. Instead, Father, help us get back up, turn our hearts toward You in repentance, and help us continue walking faithfully. Thank You for being a God who is always faithful, always present, and always making a way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
