My Refuge, My Fortress

Scripture

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”” Psalm 91:1-2 ESV”

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for being a God that I can truly trust to keep me safe. Thank You for covering me so well that even in times of trouble when it looks like my world is falling apart, my spirit and my heart are safe with You. Thank You that I can have peace because You are with me. You are mighty to save, and You have the power to withstand all of Satan’s attacks, so I have no need to fear or fret as long as I stay in the right location, close to you.  Lord, keep me from wandering from you, draw me closer. In Jesus' name - Amen

Questions for Reflection

  1. Where do I need to trust God with my safety and peace instead of giving in to fear?

  2. What helps me stay close to Him and recognize when my heart begins to drift?
