Revealed by the Spirit

Scripture

But, as it is written,

“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the heart of man imagined,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—

these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. I Corinthians 2:9-12

Prayer

Father, what You have prepared for those who love You is beyond anything we could hope or imagine. You see the whole picture of our lives because You are our Creator. We only see a glimpse of what You are doing, but You are always at work in ways we cannot fully see or comprehend. Thank You for the gift of Your Holy Spirit, who helps us know You more deeply and understand the incredible blessings You have so freely given us through Christ.

Please remind us that Your thoughts are so much higher than our thoughts. When life feels uncertain or confusing, help us to trust that You are working with purpose and wisdom, even when we cannot see the outcome. Open our hearts to hear Your voice and give us the discernment to recognize Your leading. Thank You for being a good Father who never stops revealing Your love, Your truth, and Your faithfulness to Your children.

Lord, when things don't make sense, help us not to lean on our own understanding, but to trust You more fully each day. Give us open hands and willing hearts that continually seek Your direction. When we are slow to understand, be patient with us. Draw us closer to You through Your Spirit, reminding us that You are always faithful, always kind, and always working for Your glory and our good. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection
