Strength & Dignity

Scripture

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” — Proverbs 31:25–26 (ESV)

Prayer

Father, we praise You for the strength and dignity You give Your people. You are our source of courage when we feel weak, our confidence when the future feels uncertain, and our wisdom when we don't know what to say. Thank You that true strength does not come from having everything figured out, but from knowing You and trusting that You are already present in what lies ahead.

Help us put on strength and dignity each day. When fear about the future begins to take hold, teach us to trust You instead of rehearsing all the things that could go wrong. Give us courage to face what is ahead with confidence—not because we know what tomorrow holds, but because You do! Strengthen our character and give us perseverance, humility, and faithfulness.

Let wisdom and kindness mark the way we interact with others. May our words be thoughtful rather than careless, truthful without being harsh, and gracious even when we disagree. Help us become people whose presence makes others feel safe, valued, and encouraged. Give us opportunities to speak wisdom into someone's life and the discernment to know when kindness is more important than having the last word.

Lord, as we close this journey through Proverbs, continue forming these qualities in us. Give us strength for today, dignity in how we carry ourselves, wisdom in what we say, and kindness in how we treat others. May we face the future with confidence, knowing that You are with us in every season. And may our lives reflect not simply that we have read Your wisdom, but that Your wisdom is changing the way we live. In Jesus’ name - Amen.
