The Armor of God
Scripture
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:13
Prayer
Father, Your strength is unwavering. You are constant; You are trustworthy. You have provided everything we need. On our own we are weak; we doubt and shrink back. But when we turn to You, You make us strong and provide all the tools we need to fight.
Help us to put on our armor daily, Lord, so that we can stand against the enemy. Keep our thoughts focused on You so he cannot gain a foothold in our lives. Protect us from his lies and from the temptation to be discouraged. Help us to keep standing, even when we are weary.
Remind us of the hope we have in You — of the security we have in You because of Jesus.
It is in His name we pray, amen.
