Unshaken Hope

Scripture

I cry aloud with my voice to the LORD; I make supplication with my voice to the LORD. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him. When my spirit was overwhelmed and weak within me [wrapped in darkness], You knew my path...” Psalms 142:1-3 (Amplified)

Prayer

Father, who is always near, we praise you this morning. We turn our hearts toward your goodness and your great love for us. You are for us, so why should we fear? Yet Lord, in our humanness, we do. This world is hard, and we walk through things we never would have chosen for ourselves.

As we face trials and difficult seasons, help us remember that you never waste anything. Deepen our trust in you and anchor our hope firmly in who you are and in the truth that we belong to you. Pour your peace into our hearts, and help us become people who are undisturbed by the troubles of this world. Not callous or uncaring, but steadfast and unshaken, trusting fully in you.

In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. What fear or burden do I need to honestly pour out before the Lord today?

  2. How can I intentionally anchor my hope in who God is today?
