He Reigns Above

Scripture

“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” Psalm 105:1-4 ESV

Prayer

O Lord, holy is Your name! There is none like You. You alone are worthy of our praise and our attention.

Give us hearts that rejoice because of who You are and because we are Yours. Teach us to seek You with all that we are, and to call upon You without striving to control what we cannot understand.

Your Word reminds us that Your ways are higher than ours and Your thoughts are deeper than we can grasp. We only see a glimpse, but You see the whole picture—because You are our all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present Father.

Keep us aware of Your presence throughout our day, no matter what we face. Thank You for rescuing us from sin and death and giving us eternal hope.

Thank You for loving us. In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. Am I more inclined to seek God—or to seek control, understanding, or certainty?

  2. How can I intentionally “make known His deeds” today—through words, gratitude, or encouragement to someone else?
