Walking by Faith

Scripture

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 ESV

Prayer

You are our faithful God. You have always been and always will be. Though we cannot see you, we see your hand and the evidence of your goodness all around us.

Teach us to be steadfast and unwavering, trusting in you, especially when the things around us don't make sense. Your Word tells us that you came to give us life, and life more abundantly. Help us to trust your promises even when our circumstances seem to contradict them.

You cannot lie, Lord; you are who you say you are. When we doubt, remind us that it is our perspective and focus that need to change. Help us to fix our eyes on you rather than our circumstances.

Strengthen us for this day and help us to walk by faith and not by sight. Thank you for loving us, Lord.

In Jesus' name, amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. Is there an area where doubt has shifted my focus away from God?

  2. Which promise of God do I need to cling to today?
