A Deeper Knowing

Scripture

“I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:16-18 ESV

Prayer

Father, thank You for the hope we have in Christ. Thank You that we don’t have to rely on our own limited understanding as we walk through each day. You see what we cannot see, and You understand what we cannot fully grasp—and yet, You care about every detail of our lives. Your love is steady, personal, and far deeper than anything we’ve known in our human relationships.

This morning, we come to You with open hearts, asking for what Your Word promises—that You would give us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation as we grow in knowing You. Open the eyes of our hearts, Lord. Help us to truly see—to recognize the hope we’ve been called to and the richness of what we’ve been given in You.

Let that truth settle deep within us. Let it shape the way we think, the way we respond, and the way we see the people around us. Soften our hearts. Make us more patient, more attentive, more willing to listen than to speak. Teach us to be thoughtful and discerning, not just in what we say, but in how we live.

Go before us today, Lord. Meet us in the moments we don’t expect. Give us favor where we need it, and remind us that You are already at work in every situation we face. Let our lives reflect You in a way that is natural, sincere, and honoring to You.

Thank You for loving us so completely, and for the gift of salvation through Jesus. We rest in that truth today.

In His name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. What truth about who God is—or who I am in Him—do I need to hold onto more firmly right now?

  2. In my interactions today, how can I slow down and respond with greater awareness and grace?
