Above the Chaos

Scripture

“The Lord sits enthroned over the flood; the Lord sits enthroned as king forever. May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace!” Psalm 29:10-11 ESV

Prayer

Lord, You hold all things in Your hands. You are all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present with us. Father, we need Your strength and Your wisdom. Renew us each day and breathe fresh life into our weary hearts. Give us the resolve to keep moving forward, even when the path before us feels difficult or uncertain.

Things in our world often seem chaotic and out of control. News headlines, personal struggles, and unexpected circumstances can easily steal our focus and fill us with anxiety. Help us remember that You are still in control. You still sit enthroned as King forever. Nothing surprises You, nothing overwhelms You, and nothing can stand against Your purposes.

hen the storms of life rage around us, anchor our hearts in the truth of who You are. Remind us that the same God who rules over the flood also watches over His children with perfect love and care. Strengthen us when we are weak, steady us when we are shaken, and help us trust You more deeply each day. May Your presence calm our fears and fill us with confidence in Your unfailing faithfulness.

Bless us with Your peace, Lord—not the temporary peace the world offers, but the lasting peace that comes from knowing You are near and that You reign forever. Help us to walk in that peace today and to be a reflection of Your hope and strength to those around us.

 In Jesus' name, amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. What circumstances am I facing today that I need to intentionally place into God's hands?

  2. How can I choose to trust God's sovereignty instead of focusing on the chaos around me?
