Steady Hearts
Scripture
“For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. His heart is steady; he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries.” Psalm 112:6-8 ESV
Prayer
Thank you, Father, that You are constant and unchanging. In a world that feels uncertain and shifting, You remain steady and faithful. In You, there is nothing we need to fear. You are our confidence, our refuge, and our peace. Strengthen our hearts and minds as we place our trust in You. Remind us that Your promises are secure and that Your goodness never fails.
Keep our hearts firmly anchored in You, even when difficult news surrounds us. Help us not to be ruled by fear, anxiety, or discouragement, but to walk in quiet confidence, knowing that You are always at work. Teach us to trust You more deeply and to rest in Your presence when life feels overwhelming.
Lord, so many around us are hurting. We ask that You would draw them close to You and fill them with the peace and comfort that only You can provide. Help us to be Your hands and feet in a hurting world. Fill us with compassion, wisdom, strength, and courage so that we may love others well and reflect Your heart in all we do.
And when we feel weary or uncertain ourselves, remind us again that our hope is secure in You. Steady our hearts daily and help us to live with faith instead of fear, trusting that You go before us, remain with us, and will faithfully carry us through whatever lies ahead.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
