Be Faithful
Scripture
“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches. Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision. For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God. Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called.” I Corinthians 7:17-20
Prayer
Father, thank You that my worth is never determined by my circumstances, my title, or my season of life. Above all else, I belong to You. Help me to rest in that truth today.
Please guard my heart - especially from the temptation to believe that contentment is found somewhere else. When I am tempted to compare my journey with someone else's or wish for different circumstances, remind me that You are present right here. Teach me to trust that You have a purpose for this season, even when I cannot see what You are doing. Help me to remember You don’t waste anything.
Lord, give me a willing heart to faithfully serve You where You have placed me today. Open my eyes to the opportunities You have already given me—to love well, to encourage others, and to reflect Christ in both the ordinary and the unexpected moments. Keep me from overlooking today's calling while I wait for tomorrow's.
And if You choose to lead me into a new season, help me to follow with the same trust and obedience. Until then, may I be faithful with what You have placed in my hands, confident that You are working through every season of my life for Your glory. In Jesus' name, Amen.
