A Life that Honors You

Scripture

Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” I Corinthians 6:19-20

Prayer

Father, what an incredible gift that You have chosen to make Your home within us. Our lives are no longer our own—they have been purchased by the precious blood of Jesus. Thank You for loving us enough to redeem us and call us Your own.

Teach us to live each day with that truth in mind. In the ordinary moments, in the decisions no one else sees, and in the words we speak, help us remember that we carry Your presence wherever we go. Let our lives reflect the One who lives within us.

When we are tempted to live for ourselves, gently turn our hearts back to You. Remind us that true freedom is found not in doing whatever we want, but in gladly surrendering to the One who loves us most. Shape our desires so that honoring You becomes our greatest joy.

May everything we are—our thoughts, our actions, our bodies, and our lives—bring glory to Your name. Thank You for making us Your temple and for never leaving us. May we live today in a way that reflects the incredible price You paid to make us Yours.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. What does it mean to me personally that I have been "bought with a price"?

  2. Am I living today with the awareness that I belong to Christ, or have I been living as though my life is my own?
