Call to Me

Scripture

“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it— the Lord is his name: Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Jeremiah 33:2-3 ESV

 Prayer

Our Lord God, you have made the earth and everything in it. You formed it and established it according to your perfect purposes. Even when we cannot understand the things happening around us, we can trust that you are good, faithful, and just. Even when evil seems to prosper, we can rest in the truth that you still hold all things in your hands.

Thank you for the reminder that although you are holy and sovereign, you are also near and approachable. Thank you for inviting us to call upon your name and for the promise that you hear us, answer us, and reveal more of your heart and your ways to us in your perfect timing.

Lord, develop in us the habit of seeking you first when life feels confusing, frustrating, or overwhelming. Strengthen our faith in the waiting and remind us of your past faithfulness, that continually points us back to your goodness and love. Open our eyes to the “great and hidden things” you desire to show us, and teach us to trust you more each day.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. When life feels confusing or uncertain, what helps remind me of God’s faithfulness?

  2. Are there areas of my life where God may be inviting me to trust Him more deeply instead of relying on my own understanding?
