Called by Grace

Scripture

“Paul, called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and our brother Sosthenes, To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” I Corinthians 1:1-3

Prayer

Father, thank You that You are still calling people according to Your will. Thank You that my identity is not found in what I have done, but in what Christ has done for me. You have called me, set me apart, and made me Your own—not because I have earned it, but because of Your amazing grace. Help me to live today in a way that reflects the One whose name I bear.

Lord, thank You for the gift of Your family. What a privilege to stand alongside believers around the world who call upon the name of Jesus. Guard my heart from pride and division, and instead grow in me a spirit of humility, unity, and love. May my life encourage others and always point them to You.

Today, please help me receive the grace and peace You so freely offer. When I feel weak, remind me that Your grace is enough. When life feels uncertain, let Your peace steady my heart. Thank You for being my faithful Father. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. How can I better reflect Jesus in my words, attitudes, and actions today?

  2. Where do I need to receive God's grace and rest in His peace instead of trying to carry the weight on my own?
