Clothed in Compassion
Scripture
“Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, bearing with one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a grievance against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you are also to forgive.” Colossians 3:12-13 CSB
Prayer
Father, thank You for choosing us through Jesus and His sacrifice. Help us to come to You with the right perspective, remembering that You are our hope and our salvation.
Help us to put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience each day. Teach us what it means to bear with one another, and show us how to handle our complaints in a way that honors You.
Help us to forgive when we are tempted to hold a grudge, and teach us how to work through conflict with others in a way that honors You.
In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
Questions for Reflection:
Where might God be asking me to show compassion and patience instead of frustration?
Is there someone I need to forgive or approach with humility to restore peace?
