Resetting our Focus
Scripture
“Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for I pray to no one but you. Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.” Psalm 5:2-3 NLT
Prayer
We praise You this morning, Lord, and thank You that You are ever-present. We can turn to You when times are calm and when times are chaotic. You are unchanging and faithful.
Thank You for always hearing us and for Your patience with us. Help us to bring our concerns to You, and as we do, please reset our focus on the truth of Your Word. Help us not to fixate on our circumstances today. Remind us that You are so much bigger than what we see, and that You are always working for our good—even when it doesn’t feel that way.
We love You, Lord, and we are so thankful that we are not left to our own resources to figure things out. You give wisdom when we ask. Guide us today.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
