Comfort in the Midst of Trials
Scripture
“Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens, you who have done great things. Who is like you, God? Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once more.” Psalm 71:19-21 NIV
Prayer
There is none like You, our great God! You created the heavens and the earth and all that is in them. You are worthy of all our praise! We thank You for Your faithfulness to us.
Though we walk through trials and times of discouragement, You are always with us. You are the lifter of our heads, a shield about us. (Psalm 3:3)
Wrap us in Your comfort today, Father. Strengthen us when we grow weary. Lord, at times it feels like our trials are never-ending — remind us today that they will come to an end.
Help us to have eyes that look for You in the midst of our suffering. Use these things for good, Lord. Be lifted up, God, that You may draw all people to You. Let us not lose sight of who You are.
We praise You, our loving Father!
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
