Different Gifts, Same God
Scripture
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.” I Corinthians 12:4-6
Prayer
Father, thank You that You have uniquely created each of us and given us different gifts, abilities, and opportunities to serve You. We don't all have the same role, and we don't need to. Help us remember that our differences are part of Your design, not something we need to compare or compete over.
Lord, sometimes we can look at what someone else is doing and wonder if what we have to offer is enough. Remind us that You are the one who gives the gifts, and You are the one who gives us opportunities to use them. Help us be faithful with what You have placed in our hands rather than wishing for what You have given someone else.
Whatever our gifts may be, help us use them for Your purposes and for the good of others. May our lives point back to You, because ultimately, it is the same Spirit, the same Lord, and the same God working through all of us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Questions for Reflection
Am I more focused on using what God has given me, or comparing it to what He has given someone else?
Where might God be inviting me to use my gifts to serve someone else right now?
