Found Faithful
Scripture
“This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you or by any human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself. For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive his commendation from God.” I Corinthians 4:1-5
Prayer
Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Every opportunity You give us is a gift of Your grace, and we want to be faithful with all You have entrusted to our care. Help us to remember that our greatest calling is not to gain the approval of others, but to faithfully follow You.
Lord, guard our hearts from becoming consumed by the opinions of other people or discouraged by their criticism. Keep us humble when we are praised and steadfast when we are misunderstood. When we do face times of being falsely accused or not being understood, help us to bring that all to you and surrender it. When we want to defend ourselves, help us to allow room for you to work. Teach us to live with integrity, knowing that You alone see our hearts, our motives, and our faithfulness.
Today, help us to fix our eyes on You. May we faithfully steward the gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities You have placed before us, trusting that Your approval is the one that truly matters. Search our hearts, refine our motives, and may our lives bring honor and glory to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
