His Dwelling Place

Scripture

“Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?  If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.” I Corinthians 3:16-17

Prayer

Father, thank You for the incredible privilege of Your presence. It is humbling to know that through Your Holy Spirit, You have chosen to dwell within us. Help us never to take that gift for granted. May we live each day with a greater awareness that we belong to You and that our lives are set apart for Your purposes.

Lord, create in us hearts that desire holiness. Search us and reveal anything that does not honor You. Shape our thoughts, our words, and our actions so they reflect the One who lives within us. May we be quick to confess our sins, eager to obey Your Word, and willing to follow wherever You lead.

Today, help us to live as people who carry Your presence into the world. May our lives be marked by love, grace, humility, and truth, pointing others to Jesus in all we do. Thank You for making us Your dwelling place and for the promise that You will never leave us. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. Am I living with an awareness that God's Spirit dwells within me?

  2. How can I reflect God's presence to those I encounter today?
