God Alone
Scripture
“For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.” — Psalm 62:5–6
Prayer
Praise You, Lord—our Rock and our Redeemer. You alone are our salvation, our fortress, and our secure foundation.
Teach our souls to wait for You in silence. Quiet the noise within us—the striving, the worrying, the need to fill every space. Help us to rest in the truth that our hope comes from You alone.
Forgive us for the ways we look elsewhere for security. Turn our hearts away from anything that competes for our trust, and draw us back to full devotion to You.
When we feel unsettled, remind us that in You we are not shaken. You are steady, unchanging, and faithful. Guide us deeper into Your truth today, and help us to remain still before You—confident in who You are.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
