Growing by God’s Grace
Scripture
“So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.” 1 Peter 2:1-3
Prayer
Thank You, Lord, for the new life You have given us through Jesus. Please help us to continue to grow in our faith. As we do, help us lay aside anything that doesn't reflect Your heart. Remove any malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander from our lives. Search our hearts and gently reveal attitudes or habits that keep us from loving others well and walking in the freedom You desire for us.
Lord, please create within us a deep hunger for Your Word. As a newborn baby cries out for milk, may we have that same desperation for the truth found in Scripture. Give us a desire to know You more, to hear Your voice, and to allow Your Word to shape our thoughts, strengthen our faith, and transform the way we live each day.
Thank You for allowing us to experience Your goodness. The more we taste of Your grace, the more we realize there is nothing this world can offer that compares to You. May that truth continue to draw us closer to You and deepen our trust in Your unfailing love.
Help us to pursue spiritual maturity with hearts that are humble, teachable, and eager to grow. May our lives increasingly reflect the goodness, grace, and love we have found in You. In Jesus' name, amen.
