Living Free
Scripture
“Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Honor everyone. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the emperor.” 1 Peter 2:16-17
Prayer
Father, thank You for the freedom we have in Christ. Help us to never take that freedom for granted or use it as an excuse to live selfishly. Instead, teach us to live as Your servants, choosing each day to reflect Your character in the way we speak, serve, and love others. May our lives point people to You in everything we do.
Lord, please give us hearts that honor every person as someone who is created in Your image. Help us to extend kindness, patience, and respect—even when it's challenging. Teach us to genuinely love our brothers and sisters in Christ, encouraging one another, bearing one another's burdens, and living in unity as Your family.
Fill us with a holy reverence for You that shapes every decision we make. When the voices of this world try to compete for our attention, help us remember that our highest allegiance belongs to You. May our lives be marked by humility, integrity, and a deep desire to honor You above all else.
Let the freedom You have given us become an opportunity to serve, to love well, and to reflect the hope we have in Christ. Let our words and our actions bring glory to Your name and point others to the goodness of Jesus. In his name we pray, amen.
