He is Still in Control

Scripture

“Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel—he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!”

— Psalm 68:35 (ESV)

Prayer

Lord, You are truly awe-inspiring. When we consider Your power, we are humbled. You created the heavens and the earth, You have worked countless miracles throughout history, and through Your power Jesus was raised from the dead, making a way for us when we were dead in our sins.

What an incredible truth—that the same God who holds all power also gives strength to His people.

Father, help us to rely on Your power each day so that we may live lives that honor You. Remind us that we were never meant to walk through life in our own strength. Teach us to lean on You and draw from the strength You freely give.

Lord, as powerful and mighty as You are, You are also loving and gentle. Sometimes our minds struggle to understand how You can be all of those things at once. Yet You are perfectly strong and perfectly compassionate. Thank You for the way Your power is always guided by Your love.

When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, draw us closer to You. Help us to sit quietly at Your feet and be filled with Your peace and wisdom. Keep our hearts firmly planted in Your truth.

Guard us from becoming anxious or unsettled by the things happening around us. Instead, anchor our hearts in the unchanging truth that You are still in control.

We love You, Lord. We praise You and thank You for Your faithfulness. We stand in Your promise that You will never leave us or forsake us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
