Growing Through Trials
Scripture
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2-4 ESV
Prayer
Lord, you are faithful and wise. You are all-powerful, all-knowing, and always present with us. You don’t waste anything; you bring good even from our trials. Your Word tells us that even our tears are precious to you.
Father, we cry out to you this morning in the midst of our weariness. Make us steadfast. Use our trials to strengthen us, and help us learn the things that will make us more like Jesus.
Renew us as we wait on you. We need you, Lord, every minute of every day. We are desperate for more of you. Fill us and renew us so that we can stand firm in the midst of any trial that comes our way.
In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
