Joy Beyond Sight

Scripture

“Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory, obtaining the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.” I Peter 1:8-9

Prayer

Lord, we love You, even though we have never seen You with our own eyes. The evidence of Your goodness is all around us. Thank You for opening our hearts to believe in Jesus and for giving us a living hope that is stronger than anything this world has to offer. What a gift it is to know You, to walk with You, and to experience Your presence each day.

When life feels uncertain and we can't see what You're doing, help us to keep trusting You. Strengthen our faith when doubts creep in, remind us of Your faithfulness when our hearts grow weary, and fill us with the joy and peace that only come from knowing You. Thank You that our confidence isn't based on what we can see, but on who You are.

Today, help us to fix our eyes on Jesus, trusting that every promise You have made is true. Teach us to walk by faith and not by sight. Thank You that the greatest treasure we possess is not found in the things of this world, but in the relationship we have with You, through Jesus. Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. Am I trusting Jesus today because of who He is, even when I can't see what He's doing?

  2. How can I intentionally express my love for Christ through my words, choices, or attitude today?
