Our Strength

Scripture

“Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.” Isaiah 33:2 NIV

Prayer

Lord, You are gracious. You are our strength, and we are powerless without You. Father, help us to press into You each day. As we do, absorb our anxiety and give us Your peace. Take our fears and give us hearts that trust in You. Set our eyes on You and remind us of who You are.

Lord, at times it feels heavy to walk through seasons that are uncertain and difficult. Please strengthen our resolve and help us to remain faithful in prayer. Keep us grounded in Your Word. Teach us how to pray in the midst of trials.

Help us to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. Guard us from becoming so inward-focused that we forget to care for those around us. Instead, make us an encouragement to others.

Help us to be found faithful in all things. Please provide for us today and be our protector. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. Where am I feeling weak or overwhelmed right now, and have I brought that honestly before the Lord?

  2. What would it look like today to rely on God’s strength instead of my own?
