Unfailing
Scripture
“Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. Not one word has failed of all his good promise, which he spoke by Moses his servant. The Lord our God be with us, as he was with our fathers. May he not leave us or forsake us, that he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments, his statutes, and his rules, which he commanded our fathers.” 1 Kings 8:56-58 ESV
Prayer
Lord, You are faithful. Not one of Your good promises has ever failed. You speak, and mountains move. At Your word, the oceans are calmed and made still.
Blessed are You, Lord, who keeps every promise. As You were with those who came before us, be with us now—do not leave us or forsake us. Incline our hearts toward You, that we may walk in Your ways and keep Your commands.
We need You, Lord. Speak into our hearts Your words of peace and comfort. Remind us of who You are and of Your many precious promises.
Thank You, Lord, for telling us again and again that You will never leave us or forsake us. Help us to walk in a way that pleases You and makes a difference for Your kingdom.
Guide us today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
