Prayer
Lord, Your Word tells us to pay attention to wisdom and to listen closely to understanding. Help us not to move through our days on autopilot, making decisions without stopping to consider where they may lead us. Give us hearts that are alert to Your wisdom and willing to listen.
There are so many voices competing for our attention. Some sound convincing, some appeal to what we want, and some may even look harmless at first. Give us discernment to recognize what is true and wisdom to see beyond what is right in front of us. Help us pause before we act and seek Your direction before we follow our own desires.
Lord, keep us from assuming that because something feels right, it must be right. Teach us to examine our choices in light of Your Word and to value wisdom even when it asks us to take a different path than the one we would naturally choose.
Make us attentive, discerning, and teachable. Help us listen before we speak, think before we act, and seek You before we decide. May Your wisdom guide our hearts and our choices each day. In Jesus’ name - Amen.
