Persevere in Prayer
Scripture
“...praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints...” Ephesians 6:18 ESV
Prayer
Father, thank you that we can come to you freely at all times. You are always near, always listening, and you never grow weary of hearing from your children. What a gift it is to bring every need, every concern, and every praise before you.
Lord, give us the perseverance to continue coming to you in prayer. When we feel distracted, discouraged, or tired, draw us back to you again and again. Help us to remain steady, even in the midst of trials and obstacles. Strengthen our hearts so we do not lose focus or lose heart, but instead grow more dependent on you.
Fill our mouths with your praise throughout the day. Remind us often of your goodness, your faithfulness, and your nearness. Let gratitude rise in us, even in the small moments, as we remember all that you have done.
We lift up those who are sick and hurting today. Lord, would you encourage their hearts, bring comfort to their minds, and provide healing according to your will. Surround them with your presence and remind them that they are not alone.
Reveal your truth to us and anchor us in the hope we have in Jesus. Help us to walk in that hope today—with confidence, peace, and trust in you.
In His powerful name we pray, amen.
Questions for Reflection
Am I approaching prayer as a last resort or a first response—and what would it look like to shift that today?
How can I build a more consistent rhythm of prayer throughout my day, even in the middle of distractions or busyness?
