The Lord is my Strength and my Song
Scripture
“You will say in that day: ‘I will give thanks to you, O LORD, for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away, that you might comfort me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.’”
—Isaiah 12:1–2 (ESV)
Prayer
Father, we give thanks to You this morning! Though You may be rightly angered by our sin, Your anger is turned away when we come to you in repentance, and You comfort us with Your mercy and grace. Thank You for Your compassion in our lives. Thank You for not treating us as our sins deserve, but for providing a way of forgiveness and reconciliation through Jesus Christ.
Thank You that You are our strength and our song. You are our salvation, our refuge, and the source of all that we need. When we feel weak, You sustain us. When we are uncertain, You guide us. When we are afraid, You remind us that You are with us.
Lord, help us to trust in You more fully and to walk by faith rather than fear. Teach us to rest in Your promises and to remember Your faithfulness in every season. Let our hearts be quick to praise You and our minds remain fixed on Your truth.
Be with us throughout this day. Guard our hearts, direct our steps, and help us to keep our eyes focused on You. May our lives reflect gratitude for all You have done and confidence in all that You will do. In Jesus' name, amen.
