Strength for the Weary Heart

Scripture

“Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees. Say to those who have an anxious heart, ‘Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come… He will come and save you.’”
— Isaiah 35:3–4 (ESV)

Prayer

Mighty God, You are powerful and faithful. You are our Savior, and there is nothing we face in this life alone. You are always with us—fighting for us, protecting us, and providing for us.

Lord, there are seasons when we grow weary and uncertain. In our humanness, we want answers. We want to know why things are happening and how long the struggle will last. Yet in the waiting, help us to rest in You and cling to Your promises. Remind us of Your goodness and Your faithfulness.

Strengthen our weak hands and make firm our feeble knees. Calm our anxious hearts and help us to trust that You are at work, even when we cannot see the full picture. You know our needs, and You see the deepest desires of our hearts. Please continue to guide our steps. Protect us and provide for us.

Thank You that nothing in our lives is wasted in Your hands. You are able to bring good even from the most difficult circumstances. Position Your people to be a blessing to others, and use every season of our lives to advance Your kingdom.

In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Questions for Reflection

  1. Where in your life do you currently feel weary or uncertain, and how might God be inviting you to trust Him in that place today?

  2. What would it look like to release your need for answers and simply rest in God’s presence right now?

Grace and peace to you today. - Michelle
