Sustained
Scripture
“I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words. Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.” Psalm 17:6-7 ESV
Prayer
Lord, thank you for always being available to us. Thank you for being with us and for hearing us—even when your answer is no or wait.
Father, hear our prayers this morning and answer them according to your will. You are a good Father who longs to give good gifts to your children. You provide what we don’t even know we need, and you protect us from what is not good for us.
This morning, Lord, we ask for your will to be done. At times, we don’t even know how to pray—we simply want clarity and resolution in our humanness. But we also don’t want to miss what you are doing in the midst of our lives.
So Lord, we ask that you would sustain us. Bring healing where it is needed. Comfort where there is need for comfort. Pour out your peace upon us and give us your sustaining power and protection, so that we may remain faithful in all things.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
