The God of all Grace
Scripture
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it. She who is at Babylon, who is likewise chosen, sends you greetings, and so does Mark, my son. Greet one another with the kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ.” I Peter 5:10-14
Prayer
Lord, we praise you this morning! We thank you that you are perfect in all your ways. Nothing is ever hidden from you or catches you off guard. You know all things, and nothing we face is outside of your loving care. Thank you for reminding us that suffering is only for a little while, but your promises are eternal. Even when life feels uncertain, you remain faithful.
Father, thank you that you are working even in the middle of the chaos, the disappointments, and the hard things. Help us to trust that you are accomplishing far more than we can see. When we grow weary, remind us that you are refining our faith and drawing us closer to you.
Lord, perfect us in the areas where we still need to grow. Establish us firmly in your truth so that we are not easily shaken by the circumstances around us. Strengthen us when we feel weak and overwhelmed, and settle our hearts and minds with the peace that only you can give. Help us to fix our eyes on you instead of our fears, knowing that you are always at work and will never leave us.
May our lives bring glory to you as we learn to trust your faithfulness one day at a time. We rest in the hope that you are making all things new and that your work in us will be completed according to your perfect plan. To you be all the glory and dominion forever and ever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
