Waiting
Today’s Focus
Trusting God in the silence and the in-between.
Scripture
“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.” Lamentations 3:25-26
Prayer
Lord, today feels quiet. The work of the cross is finished, but the fullness of what is to come has not yet been seen. You were laid in the tomb, and everything must have felt still, uncertain, and heavy.
Help us to trust you in the in-between. When we don’t see what you are doing, remind us that you are still at work. When things feel silent, help us to wait with faith, not fear.
Teach us to rest in you. To wait patiently, quietly, and with expectation—knowing that you are always faithful to fulfill your promises.
In the spaces of our lives where we feel stuck, unsure, or weary, meet us there. Strengthen our hearts to trust you, even when we don’t yet see the outcome.
As we sit in this day, prepare our hearts for what is coming. Remind us that even in the silence, resurrection is near.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
Questions for Reflection
Where in my life am I currently in a season of waiting or uncertainty?
What would it look like for me to trust God in that space, even when I don’t see what He is doing?
