Wait on the Lord

Scripture

God proves to be good to the man who passionately waits, to the woman who diligently seeks. It’s a good thing to quietly hope, quietly hope for help from God. It’s a good thing when you’re young to stick it out through the hard times.

Lamentations 3:25-27 (The Message)

Prayer

Dear Lord,

Thank You for reminding us that You are good to those who wait on You and seek You. In a world that urges us to rush, strive, and figure everything out on our own, teach our hearts to slow down and rest in Your timing.

Help us to seek You diligently, not only when we are desperate for answers, but in the quiet, ordinary moments of each day. Give us patient hearts that trust Your goodness even when the path ahead feels uncertain.

Lord, teach us the strength that comes from quietly hoping in You. When life feels heavy or the waiting feels long, remind us that You are working in ways we cannot see. Form perseverance in us through the difficult seasons, shaping our character and drawing us closer to You.

Help us not to grow weary in the waiting, but to trust that Your plans are good and Your help will come at the right time. May we learn to rest in Your presence, confident that You are faithful to those who seek You.

We place our hope in You today.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
