What Lasts
Scripture
“Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away…For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:8, 12, 13
Prayer
Father, thank You for reminding us that so much of what we worry about, work for, and hold onto in this life will not last forever. Our understanding is limited, and there are so many things we simply cannot see clearly right now. Help us to be okay with that and trust You with the things we don't understand.
Thank You that Your love never fails and it never ends. When everything else feels uncertain, help us hold onto the things that matter most—faith, hope, and love. Keep us from getting so caught up in the temporary that we lose sight of what has eternal value.
And above all, help us love well. Let our love for You and for others be more than words. Let it shape the way we live, because when everything else fades away, love will remain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
