Loving
Today’s Focus
Resting in Christ’s love and letting it shape how we love others.
Scripture
“Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.” John 13:1 ESV
Prayer
Father, we thank you this morning that your love endures forever. There is nothing that can ever separate us from it. As we reflect on this Easter season, we are reminded that your love was fully displayed through the sacrifice of Jesus—loving us faithfully, completely, and to the very end, and calling us to love others in the same way. Even knowing what was ahead, you chose to love—and to serve—without holding back. Help us to rest in the truth of that today. Allow it to change the way we live and how we love others.
Be with those who are sick and hurting today; help them to feel your presence and the peace that only you can give. Draw us closer to you. Thank you, Lord, for who you are, and allow that to change us. As we move through this week, keep our hearts focused on the depth of your love shown through the cross. Help us to slow down and truly take it in, letting it shape the way we see you and the way we humbly love and serve others.
In Jesus name, amen.
